I performed several operations to correct very high myopia (phakic lens implantation, excimer laser and cataract surgery), subsequently I was diagnosed with corneal edema and underwent DSAEK corneal transplant surgery in Messina. The problem seemed solved, but a year later the transplanted cornea no longer worked and I completely lost my sight in the operated eye. Not knowing how to do it anymore, I search the internet and find information on Dr. Badala's innovative techniques; Having read patient reviews and listened to the advice of ophthalmologists in my area, I decide to arrange a visit to Catania. Dr. Badala' confirms a new corneal edema , due to the fact that the cornea transplanted with DSAEK no longer worked, and recommends a second corneal transplant this time with the new DMEK technique . Hoping to solve the problem, I agreed to have the operation and already after 15 days I can see well! It's been about six months now and as time goes by my eyesight gets better and better . Many thanks to Dr. Badala' who continues to follow me with great professionalism!
