Presbyopia laser surgery can be performed in convention with the most important insurance companies, supplementary funds and health funds.
Some insurance companies consider a direct payment for health services, with no obligations for its patients; some others consider an indirect assistance.
In this case, the patient gets a refund after providing the invoices for the services.

Presbyopia laser surgery cannot be performed via National Heath Service (SSN) or ASL (Local Health Service). Astigmatism laser surgery had been previously performed via ASL, but today, because of new policies for spending reduction, this is no longer possible. Some public hospital still offer this service simply by paying a Ticket.
Anyway, it is best to verify if the laser is up to date, because it is often used a laser coming from the first decade of 2000’s, when this surgery was still performed via SSN.
