Glasses and contact lenses can be limiting and aesthetically unpleasant when you have a high myopia that would be the myopia above 6 diopters. The Laser is the main procedure to remove glasses but often cannot be performed in high Myopia.

Today there is an important news: it is the ICL, Implantable Collamer Lens that are intraocular lenses to be inserted into the eye, behind the iris (the colored part of the eye) and in front of the lens.

These lenses are absolutely invisible, they correct all vision defects, even very high as myopia, astigmatism, hyperopia and the vision defects associated with keratoconus.

The ICL also protect from ultraviolet rays, do not associate with dry eye, which can be had in the first period after laser surgery and are completely reversible. So if a patient changes his mind or wants to remove the lenses, this is an operation that can be done with relative ease.
